HS2 – Chiltern Tunnels and Colne Valley Viaduct

In a joint venture with Keller, VSL was involved in the preparatory works for the C1 package for the construction of High Speed 2 (HS2), which consists of 21.6km of high-speed rail infrastructure, including a 3km-long viaduct and a 16km-long twin-bored tunnel. The KVJV has completed ground analysis and piling tests, as well as ground reinforcement works for the southern portal of the tunnel, which will be the entry point for the two tunnel boring machines.
