Burj Al Arab Hotel

1997

The Burj Al Arab Hotel is claimed to be one of the world’s most luxurious and tallest hotel reaching a height of 320 m. VSL was trusted to complete the lifting and placing works for the installation of the main elements comprising the exoskeleton for the structure.
VSL provided their heavy-lifting system in order to minimise the amount of work required aloft, and also to minimise crane disruption. The system was also used to rotate and manipulate the trusses into their final orientations during lifting.
