CN TOWER
1975
Few projects had ever equalled the degree of quality control exercised in concrete production, with round-the-clock testing in a fully equipped laboratory on site, as the mission VSL carried out for CN Tower in Toronto in the mid-1970s.
VSL built pre-stressed concrete foundations and installed a Post-Tensioning system that helped save 25% in construction costs for the 553m-tall tower that transformed the city’s waterfront with its needle-shaped transmission mast and massive post-tensioned concrete foundation.
