For the new waterway, known as Sheikh Zayed Road, connecting the sea with the Dubai Water Canal, VSL was in charge of the supply and installation of bridge post-tensioning. VSL’s goal was to provide the specialist
technical solutions needed while completing the work to the required high quality standards within the restricted timescale of the project.
The 530m bridge length led to the choice of in-situ construction, a proven method that facilitates faster construction as it allows for the opening of many work fronts.
