HONG KONG LINK ROAD 3 – CANOPY PIPES

VSL – Intrafor installed a pipe canopy system made up of 44 steel casing pipes for the construction of two tunnels underneath the Airport Express Link (AEL), which connects Hong Kong International Airport to the city centre. The 70m long tunnels were built by box jacking, a method that had never been used before in Hong Kong, to avoid disruption to the AEL’s regular operations.
