KERRY SIAM SEAPORT JETTY

Kerry Siam Seaport (KSSP) in Chonburi, Thailand, faced infrastructure deterioration after more than three decades of continuous operation. VSL was enlisted to strengthen the concrete U-girders on the jetty using its external post-tensioning system to enhance the strength and durability of the structure. Despite challenging conditions, including space constraints and environmental factors, the modular design of VSL’s access platform, the system it uses to secure the platform against the effects of dynamic wave actions and strong winds, and the implementation of the efficient VSLoop® system all enabled the wide-ranging project to be completed ahead of schedule, enhancing the bridge’s durability and operational life-cycle.
