VSL designed the post-tensioned transfer slabs, beams and hanging columns to support an innovative structure featuring two columns supported by the roof, as part of the revitalisation of South Florida’s Surf Club in Miami. The project added a new nine-storey extension cantilevered out over the existing structure, which was built around the existing building without changing views from the ground level. VSL supplied 86t of PT strand for the first, 697m² transfer slab, and 50t of unbonded PT for the second, 687m² slab.
