NEW RAIL BRIDGE OVER THE VÁH RIVER

VSL procured and installed its post-tensioning system for the construction of a cast-in-situ bridge across the Váh River in Trenčín. Balanced-cantilever construction was chosen to build all except the end spans, which were cast on fixed scaffolding. VSL used both longitudinal and transverse PT as well as PT-PLUS® plastic ducts, which help achieve substantially higher tendon fatigue strength.
