VSL was involved in the development of a new concept for dismantling two oil and gas platforms in the North Sea. Petrodec and designer Overdick have developed a new and unique dismantling concept that is a world first: it involves sliding the platform onto a jack-up barge and then bringing it back to shore. VSL carried out the skidding works for these two platforms, by providing a system adapted to the project-specific requirements.
