The tunnel, being located in the depth underneath the Vltava Riverbed, conventional tunnelling was not possible. Therefore, VSL proposed a technical solution for pulling the tunnel tube into the trench in the riverbed using a pair of pulling and one braking cable. VSL executed the procedure using a pair of four-strand pulling cables and one seven-strand braking cable.
