Ruby Ha Long Resort

VSL designed, supplied and installed post-tensioning systems for the construction of the two towers that together form the Ruby Ha Long development in Ha Long City, Vietnam. VSL was able to assist with optimisation of the design to significantly reduce the number of reinforcing bars by 25%, and the amount of strand by 20%. VSL also accelerated the construction sequence with cycles of five days per floor achieved instead of six, during the challenging Covid-19 crisis. The design alternative provided a carbon footprint reduction of the PT slabs of about 8.5% due to PT and rebar material savings.
