Shatin to Central Link – Cross Harbour Tunnels

In the Shatin to Central Link (SCL) infrastructure scheme, VSL was in charge of prestressing the units for the cross harbour tunnels using electrical isolated tendons. With VSL’s extensive experience in this field of work due to other projects such as the construction of the West Habour Tunnel, the project was successfully completed. Being signed to contract 1121 and being in charge of one of the key sections of the North South Corridor, involving the construction of the 1.7km cross harbour tunnel, VSL was responsible for supplying and installing all post-tensioning tendons, such as anchorage, duct installation, strand threading, tendon stressing and grouting.
