TAMPEN HYWIND OFFSHORE WIND FARM

Energy company Equinor has built the world’s largest floating offshore wind farm to date in Norway’s North Sea. Hywind Tampen was also a pilot project for the use of concrete SPAR buoys in the offshore wind power industry. VSL was responsible for the post-tensioning of the semi-submersible concrete structures which required the installation of 660 vertical post-tensioning tendons up to 85 m-long in the hulls.
