Third Millennium John Paul II Bridge

VSL designed and installed the stay cable system – including materials, supervision, labour and equipments – on the Third Millennium John Paul II bridge which spans the Martwa Wisla River in Gdansk. Instead of fully prefabricated cables, VSL used the strand-by-strand method which offers several advantages: perfect parallelism of the strands, high speed of erection, reduced construction loads due to light equipment, and flexibility with the construction schedule.
