TUNG CHUNG WEST METRO LINE EXTENSION

The Tung Chung Line extension includes 1.3 km of new railway with twin bored tunnels, a 440 m station box, and ancillary structures. VSL Intrafor Hong Kong delivered diaphragm walls, TBM shafts, and ground improvement works. In partnership with Bauer, Intrafor deployed two cutting innovations: the EcoCut hard-rock cutter to enhance excavation efficiency, and the electric E-Cutter, reducing noise and carbon emissions—both applied here for the first time.
