Viaduct over the River Ulla

VSL supplied and installed post-tensioning and temporary stays for the construction of a bridge over the River Ulla. The 632m-long viaduct was the most audacious structure built for the Atlantic high-speed rail line to Galicia and Spain’s northwest regions, as the main span is formed by a stilted arch with a height of 105m.
During the construction, it was necessary to adjust the force on all of the stays and so VSL designed a system with an adjustment range of 600mm.
