Storage tanks like LNG containment structures are generally made of two containing structures, the primary one and the secondary one, which serves as a back-up in the event the primary containment leaks.
This secondary containment is a critical structure in terms of quality because the structure must be perfectly watertight and capable of withstanding the hydraulic pressure coming from the liquid gas inside.
