BOCA DEL CERRO BRIDGE

The 80-year-old Boca del Cerro steel arch bridge in Tenosique, Mexico, required major rehabilitation due to its strategic role and proximity to the Tren Maya project. VSL conducted detailed inspections and condition assessments, then executed the approved remedial works as main subcontractor. The scope included sandblasting, anti-corrosion protection, structural strengthening, and installation of new expansion joints and vehicle barriers to extend the bridge’s service life.
