VSL provided a design & build solution to replace a vertical bearing on an historic bridge under live traffic in Bern, Switzerland. A bespoke stainless-steel console was designed for the new bearing, in order to reduce installation time, limit long-term corrosion, and facilitate any future repair and maintenance operations.
